The last couple of weeks we have been really obsessed with peonies. Like crazy obsessed. All the florists and flower markets had buckets full of those big, round and fluffy blooms. Pink, purple, white, yellow and even peonies that change in color. We couldn’t decide which ones we liked best. The beautiful colors and lovely sweet smell of these gorgeous peonies really remind us that spring has finally arrived. We can open our doors, children play outside until the sun sets and we can have a crisp glass of white wine on the terrace without feeling guilty at all.

We had to share some of our favorite peony moments with you. Freshly bought from the flower market we made some flower arrangements that are great to make for a small, but happy make-over. Especially when you mix them with some other colorful flowers that are now available. The kids were sooo mesmerized by the color and size of the blooms. They just couldn’t stop staring and touching them. We told them that peonies are the floral symbol of China and that they are regarded as a symbol of love, hapiness and health. (yes, we try to educate them as well) Did you know that peonies were believed to relieve headaches and help with asthma?  So it’s not just a pretty flower!
